... it's almost the end of the month and no post :-(
So I'm making it a point to say hello - HELLO! - I figured one post a month is better than none...
Real life has kinda caught up with me this July: been working late (and really hard!) to close off a couple of projects at work... also it's Ramadhan, so my sewing time has been limited sadly.
But, there have been visits to the sewing room... and I've finished my Meadow Friends Boy Quilt!
I have to say, I was really glad to get this one done - it's been a looong time coming. I think the scrappy binding turned out great :-)
Then I had to make more coasters for an order - I guess someone out there really likes fabric coasters :-)
I even made some tags for them. Made me feel all professional like ehehee.
And on those nights where creativity escaped me I just played with my scraps and improved/added to my scrappy log cabin blocks. I decided I wanted them bigger (10" squares). I'm working towards 16 blocks to start with - that would give me a square baby quilt - but I wouldn't be surprised if I change my mind and make more. Only time (and my scrap bin) can tell.
So that's my sewing activities for the past month - not much at all, but enough to keep me happy :)
Finally I've been toying with the idea for a new quilt. A red and aqua one, I've never made it before. Hmm.... yes, I think I'll stop thinking about it and go see if I have enough red and aqua in my stash!
Hope everyone's having a great weekend. For those observing Ramadhan, Selamat berpuasa!
